Skid Row aveau toate datele necesare pentru a devenii urmatoare trupa de senzatie de la sfarsitul anilor ’80;un solist care a urcat repede in preferintele fanelor(unde mai pui ca are si acum o voce foarte buna),abilitatea de a aborda diferite melodii,un contract mare cu o casa de discuri si un album de debut care a fost certififcat de 5 ori cu platina.Succesul nu a tinut foarte mult insa,chiar daca albumul de debut a fost un real succes,cele ce au urmat nu s-au ridicat la nivelul asteptarilor,Slave to the grind fiind totusi bine cotat,ce a urmat dupa Subhuman Race,ultimul album lansat de casa de discuri Altantic Records e doar istorie...sau pacatul anilor 2000.

Skid Row,lansat in ’89 e cu siguranta o capodopera a vremurilor,alaturi de nume la Appetite for Destruction a facut din Skid Row o trupa care a simtit succesul inca de la albumul de debut,in cazul celor de la Guns N’Roses,succesul a continuat inca 4 albume dupa,insa.Sunt multe single’uri care fac parte de pe acest album si sunt considerate de fani “cele mai bune” lansate vreodata de trupa,printre titluri ca “18 and life” sau “Youth gone wild” intalnim si “I remember you”,o balada putin spus superba,cea mai cuoscuta din repertoriul trupei si una dintre cele mai bune lansate in ’89,un an plin de cantece de dragoste daca stam sa ne gandim  mai bine.Cantecul a fost scris de Bolan si Sabo,a fost pe locul 6 in Billboard Hot 100 si pe locul 23 in Mainstream Rock Charts la inceputul anilor ’90.Bach spunea intr-un interviu din 2007: “'I Remember You' was the #1 prom song in the United States of America in the year 1990...You talk about making memories! Literally the whole country of America did their prom dance to 'I Remember You' one year, and that's a real heavy memory to beat.”

Ultimul single de pe Use Your Illusion I a fost unul dintre cele mai “comentate” din a doua parte a carierei trupei Guns N’Roses,atat datorita dimensiunilor impresionante cat si datorita “beat’ului” care imita bataile inimii si lipsei refrenului.Multi au spus ca e o nebunie fara cap si fara coada,o insiruire de cuvinte care formeaza asa numitele “versuri” intinse la maximum la cele 10 min. si 15 sec. de cantec,folosirea in exces a cuvintelor “It’s so easy”,mai ales in ultima parte a melodiei au fost asociate cu single’ul de pe Appetite for Destruction care poarta acelasi nume,perioada in care a fost scris “Coma” fiind in timpul turneului de promovare a albumului de debut.

Scris de Axl si Slash intr-o casa inchiriata de Stradlin in Hollywood Hills,”Coma” ramane dupa spusele lui Rose unul dintre cele mai “greu de scris” cantece de pana atunci,chinuindu-se mai bine de un an sa il puna cap la cap.Intr-un interviu acordat pentru MTV in 1990,Axl spunea ca “Coma” ramane “creatia lui Slash”,ideea de baza pornind de la el,un cantec de aproape 11 minute fiind prea mult,el venise cu riff’ul si tot cu ideea de “batai ale inimii”:”It's Slash's baby. It's his monster. The song used to be called Girth.” Fraza “It's so easy' to be social/'It's so easy' to be cool/Yeah 'It's so easy' to be hungry/ When you ain't got shit to lose" ramane cunoscuta ca fiind reflexia perioadei ’85-’89 in care membri trupei s-au confruntat cu excesele,succesul nesperat ca rezultat al primului album si concertele pe banda rulanta,o perioada de glorie cat si de declin.Nici unul din cei doi,Slash sau Axl nu au comentat asupra acestor “acuzatii”,spunand doar ca ultima parte a cantecului a fost cel mai simplu de scris,venind de la sine,in acelasi timp fiind cea mai buna parte din cele 10 minute.

De ce "limbute"?

De’a lungul timpului mai toata lumea m-a intrebat “De ce limbute?” de la cititori,profa de mate,directoarea scolii si chiar maicamea.Un raspuns cert nu am si nu pot spune ca la data X ora Y m-a traznit fulgerul dintre C si D si am numit “limbutele” fundalul blogului,a venit de la sine dar abia acum imi dau seama ca ar fi trebuit sa notez undeva minutul cand aceasta idee si-a facut loc printre toate celelalte.

Stiu doar ca era o duminica seara ingrozitoare dintr-o iarna care s-a chinuit ceva pana sa dea drumu’ la zapda…oricum era frig in draci si pe laptop’ul meu tocmai varsasem un ceai,motiv pentru care eram pe al maicamii.Cu alte 15 bloguri fara continut,titluri si poze de fundal care nu erau cine stie ce si nu m-au captat de la inceput mi-am zis ca “acum e momentul”.Nu de mult introdusa in frenetica lumea a muzicii bune stiam din start subiectul blogului(lucru la care inainte trebuia sa ma gandesc ceva).Mi-a luat mai putin de 2 minute la pun cap la cap War cu Riot si sa pun un N’ intre(ce,si Motorhead si-au pus punctulete pe “o” tot de efect:)))si m-am gandit ca dintre crucea stilizata de pe coperta albumului Appetite for Destruction,inima Bon Jovi si carliontii lui Slash cea mai buna alegere raman “limbutele”.Si cum am mai spus si in postarea cu lucruri despre blog…nu eram un mare cunoscator de muzica buna.Stiam cateva trupe mari si late si o vreme buna am defilat cu ele,mai tarziu mi-am dat seama ca eram penibila cand ma luam la harta cu toti care incercau sa ma invete ca daca iau informatii de aici si le pun aici nu se cheama “arta”,Rolling Stones nu facea parte din acele trupe,da “limbuta” mi-a arcat oarecum copilaria,fiind semnul pe care il vedeam deseori in casa avand un tablou cu limbuta stilizata.Ma uitam la el in timp ce blogul isi astepta imaginea de fundal si nu stiam cum sa o iau,stiam ca e logo’ul undei trupe si mai stiam ca intr-o vreme taxiurile din Bacau o aveau lipita undeva pe geamul din spate.Pana la urma mi-am amintit melodia “Satisfaction”,mi-am amintit si pe Stones si asta era,aveam un blog.

Pana la urma nu v-am spus “De ce limbute”…ei bine s-a creeat o anumita legatura si toate schimbarile pe care le-am facut in viata si asa ofilinda de 14 ani le-am facut pe loc,nu am stat sa ma gandesc 1000 de ani daca sa trec strada sau nu,pur si simplu am facut-o.Asa si acum,am simtit ca asta e si asta a fost,multi mi-au spus ca titlul nu are nicio treaba,mie imi placea,imi place si imi va placea mereu pentru ca nu a fost ca la toate celelalte,nu mi-a luat 3 ore sa le aleg baza si dupa aia sa le las cu 3 postari(media maxima).Nu stiu ce “forta divina” m-a calauzit sa imi fac un blog in acea seara,dar stiu ca a fost ceva puternic si mai stiu ca oricat de putina inspiratie as mai avea in cutiuta WarN’Riot nu va inceta sa existe(zici ca suntem la alegeri parlamentare:))).

Aaa si la 100.000 dau de baut;)

200 Greatest Rock Albums off Al Time:

Unii dintre voi si-au spus ca am murit,altii ca ma trag cu telegondola la Mamaia si...nici una din aceste 2 variante nu e buna pentru ca in tot acest timp lipsa am facut ceva ce va promit de mult timp si acum e in sfarsit gata.
In postarea anterioara in care va spuneam ca is mai fresh ca oricand si gata de munca am facut o mica precizare cum ca top'ul va fi impartit in 4 parti(200-151,150-101,100-51,50-1).Ei bine incizia nu a mai avut loc si l-am lasat cum e el de la mama natura(adica din cotloanele intonecate ale creierului meu)200-1.
Cum ar fi logic si firesc ar trebuii sa vin cu pozele aferente copertei fiecarui album.Din pacate acest lucru nu este posibil avand in vedere ca memoria laptop'ului meu este de tot rahatu' si faptul ca lucrez la el de vro' 4 ani si-a pus amprenta.
In Top fara prea multe complicatii,doar titlul si data lansarii(drace,arata ca naiba fara poza:|)ceva ce nu vedeti prea des aici,pe WarN'Riot avand in vedere ca incerc sa il fac cat mai colorat.
Aceasta fiind vestea rea,nu poze nu randuri peste alte ranudir scrise vestea buna vine abia acum.
Ca sa nu mai dureze inca 4 zile si sa scriu o droaie la fiecare capodopera in parte,in fiecare zi de acum inainte(ma rog,200 de zile de acum inainte) voi face o descriere pentru fiecare album in parte.In oridea fireasca 200-1,pentru a va oferii mai multe informatii si pentru a justifica pozitia lui in top intr-o noua rubrica,"Discography Corner"
Aceastea fiind spuse mai am doar 2 precizari de facut;
Este o chestia al naibii de grea sa ei cele mai bune 200 materiale discografice din istoria rock'ului(una taaare luuunga)si sa le si mai numesti "cele mai bune".M-am ghidat dupa istoria fiecare trupe/artist,vanzarile albumului,controvesre,publicitate,top'uri si nu in ultimul rand melodiile de pe el.
Si a doua precizatie;
Orice nelamurire aveti legata de o coperta,album,informatie legata de el,pozitie in top etc etc.(asta daca nu aveti rabdare sa il trec la rubrica mentionata mai sus).
Acum ca am spus tot ce aveam de spus aveti liber la comentat,injurat,apreciat,ascultat.

Sper sa fiu de aceeasi lungime de unda cu macar cativa dintre voi(ca cu toti chiar n se poate).Imi cer scuze pentru lipsa pozelor si...
