Melodia cu numarul 10 din sectiunea “Hot as a rock” s-a anuntat a fi inca de la debut probabil cea mai controversata melodie Nickelback.Si asta poate fi notata ca o performanta personala pentru baietii care au mai lansat melodii despre cum sexul este raspunsul la orice sau lucruri pe care le tin don’soarele ocupate in gura.Putem spune fara prea multa exagerare ca “Figured you out” este rezumatul tuturor melodiilor din repertoriul lor care s-ar incadra la aceasta categorie.Are de toate;are o duduie gata sa fie “privita de sus” cu pete de vin pe rochie,drogata si “bazata”.Ce poti sa ceri mai mult?

Melodia a debutat pe 65 in Billboard Hot 100 si pe locul 1 in Mainstream Rock Tracks unde a stat timp de 13 saptamani consecutiv.A fost introdus in 40 Most Awesomely Bad Dirty Songs…Ever(VH1),a fost interzis in radio-urile din UK si pozitionat pe locul 1 atat in Billboard’s Year-End Mainstream Rock Chart,Raio & Records Rock  cat si in Active Rock.

Hot as a rock:Van Halen-Hot for teacher

Probabil cel mai discutat si interzis(am incercat sa nu mai folosesc termenul de “controversat” cantec Van Halen,”Hot for teacher” face parte de pe albumul 1984,cel mai bine vandut album al trupei si fiind undeva in primele 3 cand vine vorba de cantece Van Halen(in opinia mea).Criticilor care se pare ca au fost cam prea...critici cu acesta nu le-a scapat nici macar faptul ca solo’ul de tobe de la inceputul cantecului este cea cam lung,acesta fiind si una din emblemele melodiilor Van Halen,disputa din jurul vidoeclipului si a ideii generale de a prezenta o femeie dezbracata ca fiind profesoara este deja arhi-cunoscuta,Parents Music Resource Center protestand si spunand ca “vidoclipul deformeaza viziunea elevului fata de cadrul didactic”(n-am avut ghinionu’ de a ma amoreza de nici un profesor,nici macar in clasele I-IV avand o greata patologica fata de ei,nu am facut-o nici dupa aceasta melodie in cazul fetelor fiind ceva mai greu,singurii profesori,barbati,din dotare fiind cei de sport sau religie(cel putin in cazul meu),si pentru popi nu am dezvoltat inca o pasiune pentru chelia asezonata cu ceara din urechi a profului de sport,deci sunt putin indignata cand aud acest cantec).Datorita acestui protest(nu stiu in ce masura) si a continutului “sexual”,au fost lansate diferite petitii pentru ca melodia sa fie scoasa din grila radio si de la TV,videoclip’ul fiind principala problema a multora,intelegerea versurilor nefiind nici atunci primordiala.Si cum un cantec bun vine la pachet cu orice fel de scandal,”Hot for teacher” a fost ales al 36’lea cel mai bun cantec Hard Rock de catre VH1.

Sunt o mie de moduri si contexte in care puteti privii si asculta acest cantec.La inceput de cariera(ei,nu chiar)in '73 Mick Jagger si Keith Richards au vrut sa scrie o partitura prin care sa exprime cel mai bine tradarea,sexul,drogurile si viata lor in general.Poate fi de asemenea catalogat ca o "viziune" a ceea ce avea sa vina,adica relatia lui Mick cu Angelina Jolie,Angie,multe nume femeiesti din viata lor(sau ma rog,care au trecut prin patul lor)se pot cataloga ca fiind "muza",adevarata purtatoare a numelui acestui cantec ramane inca incerta,oricare ar fi,pariu ca era buna rau.
Extras de pe albumul Goats Head Soup,de asemenea unul dintre cele mai controversate materiale discografcie din istoricul trupei si al muzicii in general datorita materializarii femei in "diavol",capra fiind semn satanic(dapai ce nu e semn satanic in ziua de azi?),faptul ca au reprezentat o capra incaltata cu pantofi de dama,era semnul clar al sexului si satanismului,chestiile care vand cel mai bine de cand lumea si pamantul.Vocea lui Jagger a fost catalogata de catre criticii drept "ciudata",efectul vocal conferit de acest cantec fiind denumit "ghost vocal".Melodia a fost primita cu "bratele deschise" de mai toate top'urile muzicale de pe mapamond,in UK fiind pe locul 5 in in US pe 3 si este cunoscuta drept cea mai buna balada Rolling Stones,un cantec cu o mare incarcatura emotionala,psihologica si mai ales sexuala.
Legenda ne da,de asemenea mai multe varianta pentru a ne face o idee in legatura cu veridicitatea originilor acestui cantec.
Cu siguranta cea mai mediatizata dintre ele ramane idila dintre Mick Jagger si David Bowie,cantecul fiind scris pentru prima sotie a acestuia.
Mai detaliat ar fi:
Dupa ce David Bowie si-a recunoscut bisexualitatea(in timp ce e casatorit cu unul dintre cele mai mari modele ale lumii)au inceput speculatiile,si cum presa isi baga laba oriunde,a cautat in istoricul acestuia orice portita ce il putea compromite,o relatie cu un barbat fiind cheia succesului,acestia au gasit insa un interviu mai vechi cu Jagger in care declara ca tine foarte mult la Bowie(relatie de prietenie pura),de aici au inceput speculatiile si povestile de adormit prostituate cum ca acest cantec ar fi scris pentru prima "femeie legala" din viata lui David,Angela ce i-a pin pe cei doi in pat,in semn de recunostiinta,iertare sau mai stiu eu ce,Jagger s-a hotarat sa ii scrie acest cantec,amandoi au negat vehement cele spuse,foarte inetresant cum Jagger a scris un cantec pentru fosta lui Bowie si pe el l-a durut in 14...foarte ciudat.
Dupa ce au denigrat aberatiile presei,acestia au cautat o noua portita de "controversa" si ar fi scos la iveala ca acesta a fost scris pentru Angela Dickinson,o actrita de care ambii(Jagger si Richards)au fost indragostiti lulea.Keith a daramat si acest mit,si varianta oficiala(cel putin in viziunea lui) este cea in care afirma sus si tare ca acest cantec a fost scris pentru nasterea Angelei Dandelion,fiica sa care l-a scapat de dependenta de heroina.
Si cum aceasta din urma ramane cea mai "cuminte" si familista,tind sa cred ca nu,nu e asta.
Acesta va ramane cu siguranta un mister al omenirii...

Dupa ce la concertul Scorpions am observat ca imi mai scapa cateva versuri pe ici' pe colo' am zi sa ma pun la punct cu toata discografia trupei,asa ca am luat la puricat,rand pe rand toate melodiile trupei si acum in creierul meu nu mai e nici un milimetru liber...au compus ceva baietii astia,nu s-au incurcat.
Si cum,prin fiecare rubrica extrasa din "Melodia zilei" incerc sa va dau ceva nou,ce,probabil nu ati auzit,astazi vorbim de o melodie scrisa pentru a compilatie lansata in 2002,fiind singura melodie care nu apartine de niciun album lansat oficial,existent in discografia trupei.
De'a lungul carierei,Scorpions au cautat sa socheze cat mai mult,ficare dintre copertele lor de albume starnind controverse care mai de care,probabil cea mai discutata a fost cea de la "Virgin killer",precedata de "In trance",care a fost cenzurata datorita "imaginii dure" pe care o transmitea(sex si droguri),si putem continua asa pana maine,fiecare coperta de pe un album al trupei avand in poveste sexuala ori sangeroasa(sau ambele).

Fiind atrasa de aceasta politica de promovare,folosita fara a da' in kitsch(al naibii de greu sa faci asta in ziua de azi)inca de cand am inceput sa ascult Scorpions,cele mai cunoscute melodii ale trupei fiind oarecum "cuminti",exceptand versurile si conotatiile melodiei "Rock you like a hurricane" care e o adevarata "busola" in ceea ce priveste muzica rock mi-am dat seama ca ceea ce fac ei e(ma rog,era) o combinatie perfecta,versuri "erotice"(me refer la anumite melodii,in "Wind of change",de exemplu nu poti gasii nimic "deocheat")si o politica de vanzare menita sa starneasca controverse(nu neaparat prin sex),melodia "Cause I love you" este,probabil cel mai "erotic" cantec din discografia Scorpions si unul dintre cele mai cunoscute cantece despre sex din istoria muzicii rock.
daca e sa privim structura,versurile si linia melodica din afara paharului nu pare nimic iesit din comun si putem spune ca nu e greu sa interpretezi acest cantec,e al naibii de greu.Iti trebuie o voce plina de sentiment si acel gen de traire pe care sa il poti transmite in stransa legatura cu versurile si mai expresive,instrumentele trebuie de asemenea sa fie "setate" pe acel mesaj,care sa te induca in starea pe care o vor sa fie creeata,ei bine,toate aceste elemente au fost bine puse impreuna de membrii trupei,si a iesit "Cause I love you",versuri erotice,un ritm perfect si un Rudolf ce face din aceea chitara ceva mai mult decat un instrument.
Privita din afara,cam asa arata creeatia cel putin "erotica" a trupei,privita de partea cealalta a "gardului"...spune multe povesti.
