Trupa Aerosmith a fost formata in anul 1970 undeva in Boston Massachusetts.Joe Perry,Steven Tyler si Tom Hamilton au avut geniala idee de a forma trupa.Dupa acteva luni de colaborare cu Ray Tobano,renunta la acesta si in componenta trupei intra Joey Kramer si Brad Whitford.Cu Steven Tyler ca solist trupa dobandeste popularitate dupa single'ul "Dream on"lansat in 1976,ce in acelasi an a reusit sa ajunga pe locul 6 in Billboard."Frati de sange" si de...heroina Steven Tyler si Joe Perry devin prieteni foarte buni(prea buni ar spune invidiosii),dar se pare ca divergentele au intervenit si prietenia celor 2 a inceput sa "scartaie",Joe Perry a continuat cu proiectele pe cont propiu ,acesta plecand din trupa datorita conflictelor (de care nimeni nu credea) cu Steven Tyler.Tyler nu a stat cu mainile in san (ma rog,in buzunar:D) si l-a inlocuit imediat pe Perry cu Jimmy Crespo fostul chitarist al trupei Flame.Dupa ce peste un an Brad Whitford parseste trupa pentru a-si forma propia trupa,The Whitford St. Holmes band.Dupa plecarea lui, in trupa vine pentru putin timp Rick Dufay.
