Relativ tanara,Shinedown a luat nastere in 2002 in Jacksonville,Florida.In frunte cu Brent Smith pe care eu il consider un solist al naibii de bun,baietii au avut mereu ceva de spus si melodii parca prea reusite pentru vremurile astea de restriste.Au avut timp berechet sa devina comerciali in timpul celor 10 ani de activitate,dar nu au facut,fapt pentru care au toata admiratia mea.Prefer sa te chinui cu 13 fani si concerte in baruri unde doar femeia de servici te asculta decat sa-ti schimbi repertoriul pentru a devenii "cineva" printre nume care castiga prin imagine,pentru mine poti sa nu ai cele mai elaborate versuri din lume si o linie melodica iesita din comun,dar trebuie sa fii original,daca esti original ai toata admiratia mea,admiratie pe care baietii astia o au din plin.
"Devour" face parte din cel de-al treilea si cel mai bun album al trupei,Sound of Madness.A urcat repede in top;uri,fiind pe primul loc in Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks pentru 5 saptamani.
Lansat in May 2008,Brent a spus ca melodia este "o scrisoare pentru presedinte",presedintele de atunci fiind George W.Bush.
Shinwdown e de asemenea alta trupa care mi-a atras atentia prin intermediul wrestling'ului,dar nu am mai inceput cu asta postarea fiind o informatie care deranjeaza pe multi(lucru care ma doare fix in cot),Devour fiind si melodia pentru Noaptea Campionilor din 2008.
Nu pot decat sa sper ca Shinedown nu se vor oprii aici,fac o treaba al naibii de buna.
