Living after 00’s:Slash ft. Myles Kennedy-Starlight

Albumul lui Slash cu acelasi nume din 2010 a fost atat o binecuvantare pentru industria muzicala actuala cat si o palma peste fata,printre nume ca Lemmy Kilmister,Ozzy Osborune sau Iggy Pop vazand inutilitati ca Fergie,de exemplu.Ideea de a avea o alta voce in fiecare melodie mi se pare chiar buna,fiind un fel de “loc de intalnire a veteranilor”,avand atat rock’ul classic al anilor ’70 cat si duritatea ultimei decade inainte de dezastru,anii ’90,chiar si voci “actuale” ca Adam Levine care interpreteaza “Gotten”.Singura voce care a ramas pe mai departe alaturi de Slash,insa este Myles Kennedy alaturi de care a lansat Apocalyptic Love anul acesta si daca e sa ma intrebati pe mine el era cu siguranta cea mai buna alegere si un al doilea album pe care sa avem mai mult de un solist ar fi fost prea greu chiar si pentru ei.

Melodia lansata impreuna cu Kennedy in 2010 ramane pentru mine cea mai buna balada pe care a inregistrat-o Slash dupa separarea de Guns N’Roses.Ador armonia dintre chitara si voce,modul in care Myles se “joaca” cu corzile sale vocale cum vrea e incredibil,atingand note din mai multe registre fara probleme.Probabil dupa asta au jucat si ei,Kennedy face cat 5 solisti diferiti cu tonalitati diferite,ar fi fost o aglomeratie prea mare daca ar mai fi chemat si pe altcineva.Sa nu mai vorbim de varianta acustica a melodiei a carei solo e la fel de genial si pe chitara clasica.
